“ Always love Din Tai Fund in the states and was happy to find this gem before going to the theater. Made a reservation for 5PM to give us enough time to enjoy. Food was all delicious but a couple of things to note bout the differences from Din Tai Fung in the states. They take your order vs. filling out a form with all of your choices. Portions seem much smaller than in the states. Fried rice, green beans all seems about 2/3 the size of those in the states. Otherwise food was still amazing. ”
“ Amazing AMAZING dumplings! We came here because our friends told us how good it was and they were NOT wrong! A bit on the pricey side but absolutely stellar and quite quick with the service as well! ”
“ Visited Din Tai Fung in Covent Garden on a late afternoon mid week. We didn't have a reservation but the restaurant was empty. The host said we had an hour to eat if the restaurant filled up. Sort of an odd thing to say when 80% of the space was empty when we arrived and when we left. Pretty odd. Anyway, it is a lovely restaurant with an open dumpling prep area. There were a half down people meticulously making dumpling by hand. And trust me, that attention to detail is apparent. We had prawn and port dumplings in spicy sauce, steamed buns with crab and pork, and finally peapod stems with prawns. We give their food an overall WOW! So good. The dough was delicate on the dumplings, the steamed buns pillow soft and a crazy good filling, and the peapod stems were delicious with a light garlicky sauté. It was all so delicious! Service was attentive and friendly. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. Try it out!! ”
“ This restaurant brings Taiwanese and Shanghainese culinary heritage to London. They are the home of the Xiao Long Bao. Each one goes through a 45 minutes surgical process to deliver absolutely exquisite boa. You have amole choices with Crab & Porc, Beef, Chicken, Truffle & Pork s d Chili Crab and Prof Xiao Long Boa. They also have delicious sweet Taro Buns. The service was solid but a little bit to process oriented for my taste. The host told us that we needed to vacate the restaurant within 90 minutes when the place was almost empty. The food is really good but on the expensive side $30 for 10 XB is just too much. In Las Vegas or LA you get that for $15. So the value proposition is not there. ”
